Neymar recently opened up about his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and shed light on the struggles faced by his teammate Lionel Messi during their time at the club. According to statements reported by the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Neymar stated, “I decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain and received an offer to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.”

The Brazilian star further explained, “I simply wasn’t happy in Paris and had to make a decision. My first year at the club was amazing, and I was warmly welcomed by the French people and the club’s fans. However, the last two years did not meet the same expectations.”
Challenges Faced by Neymar and Messi
Neymar highlighted the challenges both he and Messi encountered at PSG, “The way I was treated wasn’t great, and the same happened to Messi. The treatment was unfair because I gave my all on the field.” He expressed his discontent with the fan base, stating, “I was saddened by how the audience treated me, especially when they attacked my home intending to harm or insult me.”
